Reciprocal Link Guidelines
|
Reciprocal linking between websites is an important aspect of increasing quality traffic to websites. It is vital for the websites exchanging links to have related topics to derive the greatest benefit. If you wish to swap links with Webmasters Affiliate, we require the following.
- Our link must be placed on a domain that you own. We will not exchange links with sites that are homepages provided by ISPs or that have free web hosting on Geocities, Angelfire, Tripod, Bravenet or Homestead, among others.
- Our link must be placed on an indexable static page. That simply means the search engines are able to spider it properly. Dynamically generated (i.e. asp or php) or frames based links pages are unacceptable.
- Our link must be hard-coded into the page as a direct
<a href="http://www.webmastersaffiliate.com"> type link. Redirects of any type and JavaScript coded links are unacceptable as reciprocal links.
- Our link should placed be on a page with 100 links or less. This is a specific recommendation by Google, which is arguably the most important search engine these days. Google's influence is very high, given that they power search results for AOL, Earthlink, Netscape, Compuserve and many others. - Under no circumstances will we exchange links with any website that has g®@ph1© §exu@l content.
- Under no circumstances will we exchange links with any website that promotes controversial or unlawful activities. These topics include, but are not limited to copyright infringement, politics, violence, hate, discrimination, hacking, cracking, warez, DOS attacks and distribution of virus, worms and trojans.
- Under no circumstances will we exchange links with any link farms or FFA sites.
- Under no circumstances will we exchange links with any site using hidden text or other abusive practices that are considered search engine spam.
